Evite

Last blog post! Sad! D:
Today I went to a new website called Evite. I enjoyed this sight because it allows you to make invitations to anything you want and design them the way you want or they have templates. You can send them to people or pint it off right from the website. You can share with Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest! I enjoyed this website and if you'd like to make any invites I will give the link. Click here to go to Evite and create your own invitations.

Google Voice

Hello. This last class we learned about more cool things on Google. One is called Google Voice. Google Voice is like a gadget on Google that allows your phone calls to be delivered to any phone you want. For example if I had two phones, a house phone and a cell phone and I wasn't always home, but everyone had my house number. I could go onto google and make an account and put BOTH of my phone numbers in so that anytime someone called my house phone, my cell phone would ring as well. I really recommend this site to anyone that has more than one phone because there is nothing more annoying than missing a phone call. Click here to join Google Voice. I hope you enjoy!

Google Hangout and Chat

Google Hangout

Google Hangout is like Skype, but you can have multiple people in a chat. You just send anyone an email and if they see it in time they can enter your hangout and you can talk face to face with them.

Google Chat

Google Chat is exactly like instant messaging, but instead it's on Google. So you can just type someones email and instant message them and if the see it in time they can message you back.

This flag counter is just a gadget you add to your blog that tells you wear people are from and how they got to the blog. If you want to know where people are coming from the I suggest the Flag Counter.

Flag Counter looks something like this and if you want to get it click here. Just follow the steps to add this to your blog. :)

Photo Editing

Today and last class we used photo editing sites! I love these sites, and I hope you will too. I'm going to show you a few different sites that I came across.

PhotoFunia

This is one by far my favorite because it made me laugh the hardest. For this site I used one picture on  many different templates which I will show below. PhotoFunia, I think, is the best photo editing site because it allows you to find a template and put any face into it. If you'd like to try this site click here. I hope you enjoy, and as I said earlier I will be showing some of my creations.

Teacher Web Tools

Last class we explored two new websites. The name of these were Superteachertools and Classtools. On these sites you can play different games, and make up different things (ex. fakebook, sms generator, etc.). On Super Teacher Tools there are quite a few games like Jeopardy, Basketball games, and many more. This post is going to summarize a few games that I played or cool things I discovered!

Classroom Jeopardy

On this game you can create a custom jeopardy review game for friends or even just you! This game was created by a teacher to use on smart boards during class. This game can be played online or on an iPad.If you're interested, click here.

SMS Generator

This sms generator allows you to create your own text to fool friends, or just to laugh at. I created one that I just messed around with for a quick second, but I hope you enjoy this. If you would like to go to this site click here.

Google Drive

Hey again! Today we went over something called Google Drive. Google has much more to it than just looking up lyrics to a song or looking at pictures. Google drive has many neat features, but I'm only going to give you a few. Google Drive lets you work on a project outside of home on any computer, save it, and open it up at home anytime you want! You can make a spread sheet, slide show, anything. You save it to your Google account and you can re-open it at home. If you like sharing projects with friends or you are working on a project with another student, Google Drive also allows you to share with anyone you want. Though you have to change the setting for this to happen because it automatically makes it so only you can see it. Google Drive is located on Google's home page on the bar with images, search, YouTube, etc,. Thank you for reading today's blog post, and I hope you enjoy Google Drive.

Backgrounds

Hey! Last class we used a cool new tool! Backgrounds! Everyone loves backgrounds! This is more of a decorative tool, but also very cool! There are different websites for these, but here is my favorite one to use click here to go. Once you are there you have to find a background that you like and copy the link. From there you go back to your blog, design, layout, gadget, and choose the html code and put it in! Tada! Thanks for reading! :D

Personas

Hey again! Last class we used a new tool! This tool is called a persona. A persona is only available for firefox. A persona is just for decoration, but I, personally, think it's pretty cool. If you want to look at a persona click here. Thanks! Hope you enjoy!

Feedjit

Hello. Today we are exploring another great gadget. This gadget is called Feedjit. With this icon you can see who visits your blog. It's live, so every time someone clicks on your blog is tells you who viewed, where they are from, and how they got there. This is a cool gadget because you don't have to waste the time going to design and overview and looking at all that stuff. Instead it's RIGHT there on your blog! :D I personally have a Feedjit and it's very cool looking. If you are interested in making a Feedjit click here. Thank you for reading, and I hope you enjoy this tool! :D

Favicon

Hello again. Today we have a very neat gadget called 'Favicon.' With Favicon you can create a little icon that is on the tab of your blog. There is a B for blogger on it originally, but in case you want something other than that this is the perfect site for you. Click here to go to favicon. Once you get there you can create an account or just create what you want. There is an option to upload an image or to draw your own. I uploaded mine as shown below, but there are other little things you can do to create an icon for your blog. I hope you enjoy this tool! Bye!

Blogging on the iPad

Hey everyone. Today we are using something kind of new to us. We decided to blog from the iPads and find the differences between the web and the blogger app. The very first thing I noticed is the gadgets aren't shown from the blog on the app. In order to see the gadgets you have to scroll to the bottom and click 'View web version.' From the app it shows previous blog posts, but not the full post. In order to see the rest there is an arrow, as shown below, that takes you to the entire post.

The other little things I noticed about the app is the way you make a post. To make a post you have to click on the create a new post and something pops up instead of taking you to a new page. There is a lot of differences between the iPad and Web, but I prefer the computer. I think the computer makes it easier to make posts and everything. The only thing I really like about the app is the neatness. It is very organized.

Symbaloo

Hello, again. I have a cool new tool! This one is called Symbaloo. This new tool helps you get to other websites with one click. All you have to do it add the tiles you wish (facebook, twitter, blogger, etc..) and click on them whenever you want to go to that website! Below is my personal Sybaloo
I dont have many tiles as of now, but that is because we haven't gone over many tools yet in this classroom.

So to utilize Symbaloo you need to click here.

Afterwards you will click on one of the blank tile:

Once you do that you will type in the search bar any website you like to use, if there isn't one for that certain website you can make your own by clicking on a blank tile and then the 'creating your own website' link shown below. After you click on that you need to put in the url for the website you are using. You can add a picture or do anything you want to it and ta-da you have your own personal shortcut to any websites you want.
